Lauren and myself visited the FC on the weekend at the body shop. Progress has been good and they are expecting to start spraying color over the next couple weeks. Fortunately some of their other jobs have fitted neatly around the FC job and enabled them to work on a 3 to 4 month turnaround.

This means if the car was fully finished at the painter by the middle of next month, theres no way it would be ready for grandma's birthday at the start of September. In any case I'd like to start re assembly of the car late august and aim to have it on the road in September.

We saw a FE sedan at another restoration house that had just been assembled.. The car looked good all freshly painted. We stopped and had a quick chat to the young girl that owned it. It was a similar story to granddad's car - it had been a 1 owner family car and was passed down to the granddaughter. We took a couple quick photos that I will upload to the site soon.
